S.C.D.S.A. Rescinds Endorsements for Kirk Thomson

Sacramento, CA- The Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) was recently made aware of statements made by Kirk Thomson, a candidate for the Elk Grove Unified School District Board, that are inconsistent with the values and standards upheld by our Association.

SCDSA takes its endorsement process seriously and expects endorsed candidates to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the principles and standards our Association represents.

After reviewing this matter, the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association has determined that it can no longer support Kirk Thomson’s candidacy. Accordingly, SCDSA hereby rescinds its endorsement of Kirk Thomson for the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education, Area 2, effective immediately.
SCDSA remains committed to ensuring that its endorsements reflect the values, standards, and expectations of our membership and the communities we serve.
