SCDSA Endorses Pat Hume for Re-Election to Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, District 5

Sacramento, CA- The Board of Directors of the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association
(SCDSA) has endorsed Pat Hume for re-election to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. Pat
Hume, a lifelong Elk Grove resident, has built his career on a strong legacy of public service. After
earning his degree from San Diego State University, he returned to Sacramento County to support his
family’s business and later served as a four-term Elk Grove City Councilmember. Since being elected to
the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, Pat has focused on key issues impacting residents,
including advocating for practical water policy solutions, opposing the Delta tunnel project, and
supporting infrastructure improvements. He has remained committed to public safety by working with the
Sheriff and District Attorney to strengthen accountability measures, address homelessness, and improve
emergency response systems. In addition to his public service, Pat has demonstrated ongoing leadership
in the community, including serving as President of the Rotary Club of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove
Regional Scholarship Foundation.
