Trukhan currently volunteers at Pleasant Grove Elementary School, where four of her children attend, and founded New Hope Prison Ministry. Her campaign priorities include academics, school safety, fiscal responsibility, and communication among families, educators, and the district.
Trukhan stated, “I am absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful for this endorsement from the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. Receiving this support is both exciting and incredibly humbling, and I am very thankful to have such strong backing as I continue working to support our schools and students here in Elk Grove. Together we share a commitment to maintaining safe and supportive environments for every student.”
“Elena Trukhan understands that keeping our schools safe requires more than good intentions. It requires strong partnerships between educators, families, and public safety professionals. Her years of service within our justice system have given her a unique perspective on the challenges facing our communities and the importance of accountability, communication, and public safety.
