Sacramento, CA- The Board of Directors of the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) has endorsed Linda Budge for re-election to the Rancho Cordova City Council, District 5. Budge has lived in the Rancho Cordova area for more than 40 years and has held elected and appointed public-service positions dating back to 1978. She was involved in the effort to incorporate Rancho Cordova and became one of the city’s original councilmembers following its incorporation in 2003. Her community service has included work with the Cordova Recreation and Park District, Sacramento County Subdivision Review Committee, Sacramento County Fire Protection District, Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, and Cordova Community Council. Professionally, Budge is an American Institute Certified Planner and the owner of Geometra Planning & Permitting.

Budge stated, “Thank you to the SCDSA for continuing to work with Rancho Cordova to keep our city safe and family-friendly. Our contract with SSD has always given us access to the services that we could not duplicate on our own. I am proud to be working with this dedicated organization to achieve our goals.”

“Few elected officials understand the partnership between local government and law enforcement better than Linda Budge. From the earliest days of Rancho Cordova, Linda has stood behind the deputies who protect this community and has consistently recognized public safety as a fundamental responsibility of local government. Our members have served Rancho Cordova alongside Linda for more than two decades, and we know her support for law enforcement is not a campaign promise; it is a record. SCDSA is proud to stand with Linda Budge.” -Sergeant Nathan Seger, President of SCDSA.
